What is the difference between a red or green tag?
Red/Green Tags in Containers
Vehicles: A tag that is contained in a vehicle will always be green until the tag transitions to a new container or on the map. (This will be signaled by a tracker tag out.)
Job sites: A tag in a job site will always be green as long as any vehicle tracker has "seen" it on the same day. Tags turn red at midnight and stay red until any vehicle reports seeing the tag in the vicinity of the job site.
Warehouses:
- Tags in a warehouse remain green until the warehouse itself reports the tag as out. That should only happen if an untracked vehicle removes the tag, or if the warehouse antenna coverage is inadequate.
- Messages received from other vehicle trackers arriving at and leaving the warehouse will update the reported time but will not affect the red/green state.
- If a tag has been swept into the warehouse due to its proximity to the warehouse, that tag will be red until the warehouse reports it as in.
- There won’t be a time window involved any more. Red/green always reflects TOut/TIn from the warehouse.
