The Interactive Map shows all your equipment, vehicles, job sites and warehouses on one map. Use it to see where everything is, filter to what you care about, add job sites and warehouses, and adjust a job site's area.
1 Open Select Interactive Map. | 2 Filter Choose what to show. | 3 Explore Click markers for details. | 4 Act Edit, add or resize. |
| Button | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Map / Satellite | Switches between the street map and satellite photos. Satellite helps you see the actual property. |
| Filter (funnel) | Chooses what shows on the map. See Filter the Map below. |
| Auto Refresh (target) | Turns automatic refreshing on or off. The interval is set in Settings. |
| Refresh (circular arrow) | Updates the map now. |
| Show All (arrows pointing out) | Zooms the map so everything you've filtered to is in view. |
| Search box | Finds an asset by name, an address, or a latitude and longitude (for example 41.0793, -85.1394). |
| Settings (gear) | Opens Map Settings. See Map Settings below. |
| Full screen (top right) | Fills the screen with the map. Press Esc to exit. |
Click the Filter (funnel) button. The list shows four groups: Job Site, Tag, Vehicle and Warehouse, with how many of each are on the map.
Check or uncheck a group. Click the arrow next to a group to pick individual types, such as Water Loss Job Site or Neg. Air Exhaust Machine. Use Select All or Clear All to start over.
Click the funnel again. Click Show All to zoom to what's left.
NOTE The Tag group only counts equipment shown on its own on the map. Equipment inside a vehicle, job site or warehouse is counted with that location. |
Click any marker to open its info pop-up, which shows the Asset Name, Asset Type and, for job sites, when it was Opened. Click the pencil in the pop-up to edit it.
Job sites are drawn with a ring around them. Anything inside the ring counts as being at that job site.
Right-click the spot on the map. A menu shows that spot's latitude and longitude, with Add Job Site and Add Warehouse. Choose one and the Add window opens with the address and position already filled in. See Creating a Job Site for the rest of the steps.
TIP Switch to Satellite and zoom in before you right-click, so you drop the job site on the right building or yard. |
Filter to Job Site and zoom in until you can see the ring and the small blue diamond on its edge.
Drag the blue diamond outward to make the area bigger, or inward to make it smaller.
IMPORTANT Making the ring bigger can pull in equipment that's already nearby. It will show as Background Sweep in the Job Site History report. Keep the ring just big enough to cover the property. See Background Sweep for Job Site History Report. |
Click the gear to open Map Settings.
| Setting | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Show Labels On Map | Shows names next to the markers. Turn it on separately for Assets, Job Sites, Vehicles and Warehouses. |
| Auto Refresh Interval (seconds) | How often the map updates when Auto Refresh is on. The default is 30. |
| Show All on Refresh | Zooms out to show everything each time the map refreshes. Leave it off if you're zoomed in on one job. |
| Show Closed Job Sites | Shows job sites that have been closed. |
| Map Info Pop-up | Shows the pop-up when you click a marker. |
| Direction Arrows | Shows which way moving vehicles are heading. |
| Issue | What to Try |
|---|---|
| The map is empty | Open the Filter and click Select All, then click Show All. |
| I don't see the radius ring | Zoom in closer on the job site. |
| Right-click doesn't show Add Job Site | Right-click an empty spot, not a business or landmark on the map. Your login may also not be allowed to add job sites. |
| The map keeps zooming out | Turn off Show All on Refresh in Map Settings. |
| Do | Remember |
|---|---|
| Funnel to filter | Ring = the job site's area |
| Click a marker for details | Drag the blue diamond to resize |
