Create a job site in Overview before your crew delivers the first piece of equipment. Overview then records each delivery and pickup, which truck made it, and how long equipment stayed, for the Job Site History report.
1 Place Right-click the map. | 2 Fill In Name and job site type. | 3 Save Click Save. | 4 Check Adjust the ring if needed. |
TIP Create the job site as soon as the job is booked. If equipment arrives first, Overview adds it when the job site is created and shows it as Background Sweep instead of naming the truck that delivered it. |
This is the easiest way, because Overview fills in the address for you.
From the left-hand menu, select Interactive Map. Search for the address in the search box, or zoom in on the property. Switch to Satellite to see the building.
Right-click an empty spot on the property (not on a business name) and choose Add Job Site. The Add Job Site window opens with the Address and Position filled in.
Type a Name your team will recognize. Pick one naming style and use it for every job.
Pick the type from the Job Site Type list. This is required. Your list may include Water Loss, Fire Loss, Mold, Board-Up, Contents, Construction, Marketing and the general Job Site type.
Make sure the Address is right. Fix it if needed, then click outside the box so Overview updates the Position.
Click Save. The job site appears on the map with a ring around it, and in Find > Job Sites.
Use this when you have an address but don't want to use the map.
| Field | What It's For |
|---|---|
| Name | The name everyone sees in Find, on the map and in reports. |
| Job Site Type | Required. The kind of job. It sets the job site's icon and how it's grouped in the map filter. |
| Job Site Tracker | Leave blank unless Overview set up a tracker at this job site for you. |
| Group | Which of your groups (for example a branch) the job belongs to. Users who only see some groups only see jobs in those groups. |
| Identifier | Your own job or claim number. |
| Hidden | Hides the job site from regular users. Administrators and SuperUsers still see it. |
| Admin View | Shows the job site only to users with the Administrator role. |
| GPS Active | Leave unchecked unless Customer Support asks you to change it. |
| Address | The job's street address. Overview uses it to place the job site on the map. |
| Position | The latitude and longitude, filled in from the address. You can type it instead, for example 41.0793, -85.1394, for a site with no street address. |
| Comment | Any note you want shown in the Asset Management list. |
On the Interactive Map, zoom in on the new job site. Equipment inside the ring counts as being at the job. If the ring doesn't cover the property, or reaches the neighbor's, drag the blue diamond on its edge to resize it. See Using the Interactive Map, Change a Job Site's Radius.
NOTE Not sure you've set up every job? Find > Potential Job Sites lists places where several pieces of equipment are sitting outside any job site. |
