Tag Provisioning
The Tag Provisioning option brings up the mobile device's bar code scanner. A permission dialog is shown the first time Tag Provisioning issued; this needs to be granted to continue. After scanning a tag, the associated asset can be edited. If a tag does not have an associated asset, the tag can be associated with an existing asset, or a new asset can be created.
NOTE: If an error dialog appears after a scan, attempt the scan again. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
Step 1 | Open Overview Cloud Mobile app |
Step 2 | Select "Scan Tracker or Tag" |
Step 3 | Scan the barcode on your Overview tag |
Step 4 | Select either "Associate with Asset" if you are replacing a tag or "Create New Asset" if this is a new tag |
Step 5a | If "Associate with Asset" is selected, type in the asset name and select it from the list and then click "Associate" |
Step 5b | If "Create Asset" is selected, select the "Asset Type" from the drop-down list, enter the name, serial number and take a picture of the item |
